Kadjebi NCCE Celebrates Independence Day with Constitution Quiz for Schools

Kadjebi: The Kadjebi District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in partnership with the Kadjebi District Assembly and the District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES), organized a Constitution Game Quiz competition for four basic schools to celebrate the 68th Independence Day anniversary.

According to Ghana News Agency, the participating schools included KASEC Model JHS, Kadjebi E.P Central JHS, Kadjebi R.C JHS, and Anthony Educational Complex JHS. The event was held at the Kadjebi District Assembly Hall. Mr. Daniel Agbesi Latsu, the District Director of the NCCE, explained that the Constitution Game Quiz was designed to make the Independence Day celebration more memorable and to promote awareness of democratic values, patriotism, and citizen participation in governance.

Mr. Latsu emphasized that the quiz aimed to help learners better understand the 1992 Constitution while engaging in an enjoyable activity. Mr. Seth Seyram Deh, the District Director of Education, remarked on the nature of contests, highlighting the importance of preparation for future competitions.

The results of the contest saw KASEC Model JHS taking first place with 51 marks, followed by Kadjebi R.C JHS with 49 marks in second place. Kadjebi E.P Central JHS secured third place with 46 marks, and Anthony Educational Complex JHS came fourth with 44 marks. All participants received exercise books, notebooks, a Mathematical set, and a school bag, while the first and second runners-up were awarded a copy of the 1992 Constitution. The event was themed 'Ghana's Future: Our Collective Responsibility.'
