Kadjebi Election Taskforce Urges Peaceful Conduct Ahead of December 7 Polls.

KADJEBI: The Kadjebi District Election Taskforce, which includes the District Police Commander, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, the Electoral Commission, and National Ambulance Service Commander, has embarked on a campaign to promote peace and tolerance ahead of the December 7 elections.According to Ghana News Agency, the taskforce visited various religious institutions across the district, including the Church of Pentecost, Kadjebi Central Assembly; Chapel of Hope International Church, Kadjebi; Assemblies of God Church, Kadjebi; Deeper Life Bible Church, Kadjebi; and the Kadjebi Central Mosque. The visits aimed to engage community members in discussions about maintaining peace before, during, and after the elections.During a session at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Superintendent of Police Frank Nana Asomaning, the Kadjebi District Police Commander, emphasized the importance of prioritizing national interest by fostering peace an d avoiding actions that could incite violence. He highlighted that peace is crucial for economic growth and development, as it facilitates a conducive environment for business, trade, and investment.Supt. Nana Asomaning also advised congregants to leave polling stations after casting their votes, trusting party agents to oversee election procedures conducted by Electoral Commission officials. Rev. Vincent Darkpo, the church's pastor, praised the taskforce's initiative and assured that the church members would uphold the peace and not engage in activities that could disrupt the nation's stability.
