Accra: The Ghana Agriculture and Rural Development Association (GARDJA), an organisation focused on the environment, agriculture, and rural development, has expressed deep sorrow over a helicopter crash that resulted in the deaths of eight Ghanaians in the Ashanti Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement released by Mr. Richmond Frimpong, President of GARDJA, highlighted the profound impact the tragic event has had on the communities they serve. The statement noted that the individuals who perished were involved in crucial national duties, including the defense of Ghana's forests, lands, and rural stability.
The statement underscored that the loss of these individuals is not only a national tragedy but also a significant setback to efforts aimed at environmental protection and the support of vulnerable farming and rural communities. GARDJA extended condolences to the bereaved families, the military, government institutions, and the entire nation.
GARDJA also committed to honoring the memories of those lost by continuing to emphasize the importance of their work and by sharing the stories of those who dedicated their lives to Ghana's environment and rural development.
