GPHA Issues Scam Alert on Fraudulent Recruitment Notice

Accra: The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has issued a scam alert to the public against a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating on social media.

According to Ghana News Agency, the GPHA issued the alert, which was signed by Dr. Kingsley Antwi-Boasiako, the General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs. The alert was disseminated to caution the public about a false recruitment notice falsely claiming to be from the Authority.

The alert stated, "The attention of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has been drawn to a fraudulent notice circulating on social media, falsely claiming to be from the Authority. This fake announcement list contains a form requesting the applicant's details, thus, first name, last name, phone number, and email address."

Additionally, the GPHA clarified, "We wish to emphatically state that GPHA is not conducting any recruitment at this time, and the information in the said post is false and misleading. The general public is therefore advised to ignore this fake notice and avoid engaging with its content."

The GPHA emphasized that all official announcements are published only through its official website and legitimate communication channels. The release urged the public to "treat this scam with the contempt it deserves and help stop the spread of misinformation."
