Accra: After two decades of impacting cities in Europe and the U.S, the Global Prayer Works Summit has returned to its roots, opening today in Accra, Ghana. This marks the first time the summit is being held on African soil.
According to Ghana News Agency, the event is organized by Nicholas Duncan-Williams Ministries and is themed 'Revive Us Again.' It will continue through Saturday, July 19, at the Prayer Cathedral, Action Chapel International's headquarters on Spintex Road. The summit is expected to gather church leaders, pastors, intercessors, and believers from across the globe. A statement from the organizers highlighted the summit's reputation for changing lives through fervent prayer and word-centered teaching.
Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, General Overseer of Action Chapel International, will lead the summit, joined by Reverend Eastwood Anaba, Senior Pastor of Fountain Gate Chapel in Bolgatanga, Ghana; Rev. Dr. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi, General Overseer of Global Revival Ministries; and Bishop Dr. Bernard Ogyiri Asare, Founder and General Overseer of Zion Praise Chapel International. These leaders have been influential in shaping the faith of thousands.
Praise and worship sessions will feature performances by Ghanaian artists Joe Mettle and Sandra Boakye-Duah, along with Simiane, a French worship leader gaining influence in Africa. Thousands are expected to participate in person, with additional attendees joining virtually through Dominion TV and Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams' social media platforms.
The summit will conclude on Saturday with 'Morning Glory' and will include breakout sessions designed for young adults, ministry leaders, business professionals, and changemakers.
