ACCRA: Engineer Dr. Dzabaku Kudiabor Ocansey, Executive Director of the Center for National Interest and Research (CNIR-GH), has called on Ghanaians to support the nation's development goals for 2025 and beyond. In a message for the new year, Dr. Ocansey emphasized the importance of prioritizing national interests over personal and political affiliations to foster a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Ghana.According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Ocansey stressed the need for professionals across all fields to advocate for fairness and the advancement of the national interest. He expressed concern over individuals and institutions showing greater loyalty to political parties and governments than to the state itself. Dr. Ocansey encouraged Ghanaians to build a society where opportunities are available to all, regardless of political affiliation or tribal background, and where wealth is not confined to those holding political office.Highlighting the need for a paradigm shift from extreme partisan politics and divisiveness, Dr. Ocansey called for unity in striving for first-world status by 2057. He urged the youth to channel their energy, creativity, and innovation toward driving economic and social progress. CNIR-GH plans to continue its efforts to conduct evidence-based research, provide educational and training programs, and advocate for good governance and accountability. The organization also announced its intention to pursue an initiative known as the 'Centenary Agenda' and the 'New Ghana Project,' aiming to transform Ghana into a developed nation by 2057. Dr. Ocansey extended congratulations to the President-elect, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, and commended all political parties for their active participation in Ghana's democratic process.
