Wiawso: The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) has inaugurated a new office complex in Wiawso to manage the standardisation of goods and services across the nine districts of the Western North Region. Professor Alex Kofi Dodoo, the Director General of the GSA, emphasized during the opening ceremony that the new office aims to alleviate the challenges residents faced in accessing the Authority's services within the region.According to Ghana News Agency, Professor Dodoo urged residents and community leaders to work with the Authority to enhance service delivery. The Authority has deployed 12 standard training inspectors, along with three technical and procurement officers, to commence full operations at the newly established office.Mr. Suleman Ali, the Acting Western North Regional Coordinating Director, conveyed a message from the Regional Minister, highlighting the Authority's ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety, quality, and integrity of products and services for citizens. He remarked that the establi shment of the new office marks a significant stride towards fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for businesses and stakeholders in the region.He further encouraged stakeholders to recognize the importance of standards and quality, urging them to contribute towards building a safer, stronger, and more globally competitive Ghana.
