Ghana-Diaspora Home Purchase Expo Scheduled for December 12-13.

Accra: The maiden edition of the Ghana-Diaspora Home Purchase Expo 2024 is set to take place on December 12 and 13, 2024, at the British Council in Accra. This exhibition is designed to unite key stakeholders in the real estate and housing sectors under one banner, including real estate developers, financial institutions, and insurance companies, who have already confirmed their participation.

According to Ghana News Agency, Nilex Properties is spearheading efforts to position Ghana as a prime property investment destination. The event, which was launched in September 2024 in Accra, has gained traction, attracting significant industry players and setting the stage for enhanced collaboration to boost Ghana’s real estate sector.

Mr. Nilesh More, Managing Director of Nilex Properties, has called on industry players to prioritize the use of locally made building materials over imports. He emphasized that using local materials could reduce property costs, making them more affordable for the average Ghanaian. He
also noted that supporting local production would not only decrease housing costs but also invigorate the local economy, creating thousands of jobs for Ghanaian youth and addressing unemployment issues.

Mr. More encouraged Ghanaians, both domestically and abroad, to collaborate in strengthening the local industry, stating that such efforts would create sustainable economic opportunities for the nation. The Ghana-Diaspora Home Purchase Expo 2024 promises to be a pivotal event in Ghana’s real estate calendar, fostering connections and driving sector growth.

Mr. Alex Osei-Owusu, Lead Organiser for the Expo, described the event as an exceptional opportunity for members of the diaspora to connect with industry professionals. He highlighted that the Expo provides a unique platform for individuals interested in real estate to engage with developers and mortgage providers offering tailored packages to suit their needs. He assured attendees that they would have access to flexible mortgage options from leading banks,
making property ownership more attainable.

The Expo will also feature expert lawyers who will guide participants on the legal aspects of property investment. From understanding land tenure systems to avoiding fraud, attendees will receive comprehensive advice to make informed decisions.
