Accra: Ambassador Anani Demuyakor, the Chairman of the Ghana China Friendship Association (GHACHIFA), along with his Executive Members, has expressed condolences to President John Dramani Mahama and the families affected by the military helicopter crash.
According to Ghana News Agency, GHACHIFA released a statement signed by Mr. Benjamin Anyagre, its General Secretary, conveying heartfelt sympathy to the Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, as well as the government and the people of Ghana. The association mourned the tragic helicopter crash that resulted in the loss of esteemed Cabinet Ministers, government officials, and members of the Armed Forces of Ghana.
The statement described the incident as a significant, painful moment for Ghana, highlighting that the eight victims perished serving the Republic with courage and honour deserving of the highest Order of the Republic. GHACHIFA extended its sincere condolences to the bereaved families, particularly the spouses and children, encouraging them to find solace in the dedicated service of their loved ones to the nation. The association wished for the souls of the deceased to rest in peace and prayed for strength for all to overcome the tragedy.
