Madam Emelia Arthur, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Shama Constituency, has submitted her nomination forms to contest the seat.She was accompanied by the constituency and polling station executives, party supporters and other well-wishers to the Shama District office of the Electoral Commission (EC) to submit the forms.Madam Arthur speaking after the submission thanked the constituency leadership and members of the party for the confidence reposed in her to contest the seat on the ticket of the NDC.She also expressed gratitude to the District EC officials for their warm reception, saying, 'We are grateful to them for welcoming us warmly, and taking their time to peruse the forms to ensure no issue in it.'The Parliamentary Aspirant said she was poised to bring development to the people of Shama and expressed confidence that the electorate would give her the edge to snatch the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).Madam Arthur urged all party members to embark on a rigorous house-to-house campaign and preach the policies of the NDC to the electorate to help persuade them to vote massively for the party on December 7.'From now till December 7, we are going to double up our campaign activities. We will move from house-to-house, door-to-door, room-to-room, and every other corner to tell our good policies to the constituents so that the NDC will win both the presidential and parliamentary elections in Shama constituency,' she stated.Source: Ghana News Agency
