According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, officials of the Electoral Commission, along with representatives from various political parties, convened on Wednesday morning to receive and inspect the materials. Once the inspection was satisfactorily completed, the materials were stored in the armoury of the Police Command in preparation for the December 07 elections.Mr. Kofi Dzakpasu, Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, provided a briefing to party representatives ahead of the inspection. He disclosed that the consignment consisted of two trucks containing a total of 186 sacks for presidential election materials and 70 sacks for parliamentary election materials, each sealed with the respective party seals. The bags are to be organized by constituencies, with two agents from each party designated to inspect and reseal them for secure storage.Mr. Dzakpasu further explained that details of the consignment had been shared with each party, security agencies, and election observers. He emphasized that the package also included ballots for the special voting exercise and urged the parties to verify ballot statistics and the loading summary provided.EC officials assigned to the constituencies were present to oversee the process, ensuring thorough scrutiny of the ballot paper details. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, DCOP Andrews Boadu-Ekumah, Head of the Regional Elections Security Taskforce, praised the collaborative efforts of the stakeholders and assured that the Electoral Commission is committed to conducting an incident-free election.Officials from the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) were also in attendance during the inspection process.
