Ejisu NCCE Organizes Parliamentary Dialogue for Candidate-Electorate Engagement.

Ejisu: The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing public participation in the democratic process by organizing a parliamentary dialogue in the Ejisu constituency. Mr. Eric Asare Nene, Ejisu Municipal Director of NCCE, emphasized the importance of active civic engagement as a means to fortify the nation's democratic progression during the event.According to Ghana News Agency, the dialogue served as a platform for parliamentary candidates to interact directly with constituents, discuss their visions, and address questions related to the constituency's development. The initiative also provided electorates with crucial information on electoral procedures and the importance of conducting themselves appropriately during elections.Candidates in attendance included Mrs. Esther Osei of the CPP, independent candidates Okai Kwame, George Gyapa, and Joseph Fredua Agyeman, as well as Kwabena Boateng of the NPP. They presented their plans focusing on key areas such as education, health, tourism, road infrastructure, peace, and security. All candidates committed to ensuring peaceful elections and urged their supporters to maintain decorum to prevent any escalation of tensions.Mr. S.O Frimpong, the Municipal Chief Executive, expressed gratitude to the NCCE for facilitating the dialogue. He reiterated that elections are an intellectual exercise rather than a conflict and urged citizens to avoid actions that could threaten the peace of the constituency.
