Dream Village Set to Unlock Oti Agricultural Tourism

Oti Region: Dream Village, a pioneering agricultural tourism initiative, is poised to unlock the vast potential of the Oti Region. Mr. Clement Matorwmasen, founder and director of Dream Village and Green Gold, said the village was a thriving agricultural community that offered a unique blend of agricultural education, tourism, and community development.

According to Ghana News Agency, the village is set amidst a picturesque landscape of rolling verdant forest and sparkling waterways, making it an ideal destination for tourists seeking an authentic agricultural experience. Dream Village offers a range of agricultural tourism activities, including farm tours, agricultural workshops, and community-based tourism initiatives. Visitors can participate in farm-to-table experiences, learn about traditional farming practices, and engage with local communities.

The initiative is expected to create jobs, stimulate local economic growth, and promote cultural exchange between local communities and tourists. "We believe that agricultural tourism has the potential to transform the economic fortunes of the Oti Region, and we are committed to making Dream Village a flagship project for agricultural tourism in Ghana," Mr. Matorwmasen added.

Meanwhile, a visiting international volunteer has pledged to support Dream Village. Ms. Bowie Yin Sum Kung, a Hong Kong-based writer and business consultant, recently spent time at Dream Village and was impressed by Mr. Matorwmasen's dedication to serving the community. In an interview with the GNA, Ms. Kung described Dream Village as a "true gem" making a profound impact on the community and praised the staff's dedication and passion.

"I was inspired by Matorwmasen's versatility and commitment. I wanted to support him in any way possible, so I offered to write an article about Dream Village to increase its international exposure," Ms. Kung added. She also offered to assist with digital tasks, such as newsletters, to free up Mr. Matorwmasen's time and allow him to focus on his work with the community.
