Design and Technology Institute Graduates 525 Artisans and SMEs in Precision Quality

Accra: The Design and Technology Institute (DTI) has successfully graduated 525 Mastercraft Persons, Artisans, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Ho, located in the Volta Region. These graduates, which include individuals with physical challenges, have completed their training in Precision Quality (PQ) at Work under the DTI/Mastercard Foundation Project Phase Two initiative.According to Ghana News Agency, the event was themed 'Precision Quality at Work: Integrating the Informal Sector into the Larger Ghanaian Economy.' Mr. Edwin Faryosey, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at DTI, highlighted during the event that the graduates have adopted a new mindset focused on excellence, discipline, and continuous improvement. Certificates were awarded to all participants, and those who performed exceptionally well received various business equipment.Mr. Faryosey emphasized that the training was about more than just acquiring skills; it was about shaping attitudes, raising standards, and preparing the grad uates to become leaders in their industries. He acknowledged the significant step the participants have taken towards formalizing their businesses, which he described as their passport to growth, recognition, and sustainability. This formalization opens doors to contracts, financing, and broader opportunities, giving their craft the respect it deserves.Beyond knowledge and formalization, Mr. Faryosey mentioned the importance of tools in their work. To support their businesses, the graduates were presented with various hand tools, which he described as investments in their craft, future, and communities. He expressed confidence that the graduates would use these tools responsibly to enhance productivity and maintain the highest standards of Precision and Quality.He encouraged the graduates to serve as Ambassadors of quality craftsmanship, urging them to let their work reflect the excellence learned during their training. He envisioned their businesses growing stronger and more formalized, with the tools re ceived symbolizing a brighter, more professional future.
