Clergy Encouraged to Serve as Role Models for Youth

Sunyani: The Reverend Dennis Sasu, District Pastor of the South Industrial Estate District of the Church of Pentecost in Sunyani, has called on the clergy to continue serving as role models, influencing the lives of the contemporary generation positively.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rev Sasu emphasized the significant impact that ministers have on the youth, noting that their actions and behaviors can either uplift or mislead both the youth and society at large. This message was delivered during a sermon at a farewell service for Probational Overseer Wilberforce Manu Osei, held at the Sarfo/Mckeown Assemblies of the Sunyani Central District of the Church of Pentecost.

Rev Sasu urged the clergy to focus on godliness, righteousness, and holiness, steering clear of temptations that lead to ungodly lives and behaviors that could tarnish the image of God. He stressed the importance of living a life that inspires young people to deepen their spirituality through sound biblical teachings and principles. The clergy were also encouraged to guard against greed and selfishness by practicing genuine love.

He further stated that faith should be visible and unwavering, especially during challenging times, drawing inspiration from the example set by Mckeown in advancing their ministry and calling.

Probational Overseer Manu expressed gratitude to the Sarfo/Mckeown Assembly, the Sunyani Area, and the entire Church of Pentecost for their support and spiritual guidance. He requested continued prayers for him and his family as he embarks on his divine calling, which he hopes will contribute to the church's spiritual growth.

Probational Overseer Manu has been assigned to the WaleWale Area of the Church of Pentecost in the Mamprusi West Municipality of the North East Region. His journey began at the Sarfo/Mckeown Assemblies, where he was ordained as a deacon before entering full-time ministry, having previously served in the children's ministry.
