Children Encouraged to Embrace Volunteerism Spirit in Adaklu District

Accra: Miss Faustina Babah, the leader of All Souls For Christ Foundation, a Christian Non-Governmental Organisation based in Ho, has advised children to cultivate the spirit of volunteerism to help develop their families and communities. She emphasized that even though they are young, they are essential members of their families and society.

According to Ghana News Agency, Miss Babah gave this advice during an Easter picnic hosted by the Foundation for over 400 children at Adaklu Kodzobi in the Adaklu district. The event included activities such as musical chairs, a dance competition, recital of memory verses, and a “pick and act” game. The children were provided with food, confectionaries, and soft drinks, while used clothing was distributed to the elderly.

In an interview, Miss Babah mentioned that the event is an annual tradition hosted in rural communities, and this year, they were guided by the Holy Spirit to Adaklu Kodzobi. She encouraged the children to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior to reach their God-given potentials and advised them to avoid negative behaviors such as fornication, alcoholism, hard drugs, peer pressure, and pilfering.

Miss Babah stressed the importance of obedience and humility, describing these traits as fruits of the Holy Spirit that could lead to greatness. She urged the children to concentrate on their studies and encouraged parents to invest in their children’s education to secure a prosperous future. Additionally, she advised parents to instill Christian values in their children to help them grow into responsible adults.

Miss Betty Deh, speaking on behalf of the children, expressed gratitude to the Foundation for making their Easter memorable. Mr. Seth Soglo, a Youth Leader in the community, also thanked the Foundation and pledged the community’s support in helping the children develop their talents.
