Centerpoint Supply Chain Solution Limited Donates Desks to Kpone Methodist Junior High School

KPONE: The Kpone Methodist Junior High School has received a donation of 100 dual desks from Centerpoint Supply Chain Solution Limited, a logistics firm operating within a free zone. This contribution aims to enhance the educational environment by addressing the school's furniture shortages.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Felix Yaw Banny, the Chief Executive Officer of Centerpoint Supply Chain Solution Limited, stated that the company has been committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives for the past two years. As part of these efforts, the firm has chosen to donate the desks to alleviate the school's pressing need for adequate seating and learning spaces.

Mr. Banny recalled that during a previous visit, where the company donated 2,500 exercise books, they observed the school's lack of sufficient desks. This observation prompted the decision to provide the necessary furniture. He emphasized that the donation not only addresses a fundamental requirement for the school but also serves as an opportunity for Centerpoint to demonstrate support and care for the community.

From a business perspective, Mr. Banny highlighted that the CSR initiative aims to foster an improved future workforce by ensuring students have a conducive learning environment. Socially, the contribution is intended to instill a sense of community and belonging among the students, encouraging a supportive and loving atmosphere.

Madam Juliana Asante Sarpong, headmistress of Kpone Methodist JHS, expressed her gratitude to Centerpoint Supply Chain Solution Limited for their generosity. She noted, however, that the school faces additional challenges, primarily the lack of fencing, which allows intruders to disrupt classes. She appealed for further assistance from organizations and individuals to enhance the quality of education provided to the students.
