Techiman: The Bono East Regional House of Chiefs has applauded the dedication of Bono East Regional Minister, Mr. Kwasi Adu-Gyan, to the comprehensive development of the region. In recognition of his efforts, the 19 paramount chiefs conferred upon him the chieftaincy title 'Sompahene,' meaning 'good servant,' in hopes of inspiring further advancements for the region.According to Ghana News Agency, Nana Owusu Sakyi, President of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs, highlighted Mr. Adu-Gyan's leadership during a ceremony held in Techiman. Nana Sakyi, who is also the Paramount Chief of the Bassa Traditional Area, praised Mr. Adu-Gyan for fostering peace in the region by addressing chieftaincy disputes and land boundary issues, which previously threatened regional stability.Nana Sakyi emphasized the importance of honoring individuals who contribute positively to society while they are alive, encouraging Mr. Adu-Gyan to continue his efforts in promoting peace. Mr. Adu-Gyan expressed his gratitude for the ho nor and committed to working alongside the House of Chiefs to resolve conflicts and ensure a peaceful Election 2024.Mr. Adu-Gyan also acknowledged the government's achievements in education, agriculture, and infrastructure, expressing readiness to further enhance the socio-economic conditions of the region's populace. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a kente cloth, native sandals, a stool, and a citation of honor to Mr. Adu-Gyan.
