Bishop Adu Morrison Encourages Couples to Be Industrious to Meet Household Needs

Tamale: Bishop Adu Morrison, General Overseer of the Voice of Hope Ministry in Tamale, has advised couples to be industrious to meet the needs of their households. Delivering a sermon at a marriage ceremony held at Bethel Society of the Methodist Church in Tamale, Bishop Morrison emphasized the need for couples to eschew laziness and be prepared to go the extra mile to make more legitimate income to improve their abilities to meet their immediate household needs.

According to Ghana News Agency, Bishop Morrison highlighted hard work, unity, mutual respect, and support from both spouses as essential attributes for a peaceful and successful home. The marriage blessing was for Mr. Issac Abban, a driver with the Ghana News Agency Office in Tamale, and Madam Veronica Aidoo. The couple, having lived for more than two decades as husband and wife, decided to bless their marriage in the Christian way.

Bishop Morrison urged couples to spend quality time together to meet their sexual and emotional needs, stressing that building a happy home requires time, energy, and patience. He encouraged the couple to be mutually submissive, ensure effective communication, and decide on a healthy sexual life to sustain their marriage.

He emphasized that marriage is a full-time commitment with no room for retirement, leave, or rest, and called on couples to be united to build better and acceptable families. Bishop Morrison offered prayers for the couple for a successful marital journey and further prayed for other marriages across the country.

The ceremony was officiated by Right Reverend Lawrence K. Beka, Diocesan Bishop of Tamale, with assistance from Very Reverend Frederick Emmanuel Mensah, Synod Secretary of the Tamale Diocese, Very Reverend Francis Azognab, Superintendent Minister of the Tamale West Circuit, and other officiating ministers.
