The couple personally served their guests at their residence, promising continued support even after Dr. Bawumia's term concludes on January 7, 2025.According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Bawumia shared his joy of spending the day with the cured lepers on his Facebook page, emphasizing the importance of extending support to the marginalized. A long-time Patron of Lepers Aid Ghana, the Vice President has consistently provided essential items such as rice, cooking oil, water, and drinks, along with financial contributions to the Weija Leprosarium over the past eight years.Dr. Bawumia's ongoing commitment to aiding vulnerable groups was also demonstrated on Christmas Day when he welcomed Priscilla, a four-year-old cured leper he sponsored for medical treatment in Italy to repair her severed legs. He described her recovery and visit as his "best Christmas gift," underscoring his dedication to social support initiatives.
