AWW Constituency Independent Candidate Pledges to Amplify Voices in Parliament.

Accra: Mr. Abdul Rauf Mumuni Abugri, an independent parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon (AWW) Constituency, has committed to ensuring that the voices of his constituents are prominently heard in Ghana's Parliament should he be elected in the forthcoming general elections. Mr. Abugri, who is the CEO of RNT Construction Limited, also serves as the founder and leader of the Federation of African Youth and as director of the Ghana Notional Talent Awards.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Abugri, an alumnus of the University of Ghana and Miami University in the USA with expertise in construction and computer engineering, outlined his agenda focused on transparency and accountability in governance. He plans to conduct regular public meetings to discuss constituency matters, ensure the dissemination of timely information on decision-making processes, and foster participatory budgeting.Mr. Abugri also emphasized the importance of enhancing community security and well-being by increasing police pr esence, implementing crime prevention programs, and upgrading safety infrastructure such as street lighting and CCTV cameras. Additionally, he has pledged to tackle affordable housing issues by developing subsidized projects for low-income families and collaborating with NGOs for support.The independent candidate aims to establish a constituency database to manage information relevant to the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon. He also plans to provide free healthcare services, including specialized mental, dental, and reproductive health care, and to offer free tertiary education to active voters.Highlighting his commitment to youth empowerment, environmental protection, and industrial growth, Mr. Abugri noted his previous initiatives, such as scholarships for underprivileged students and support for small businesses. His efforts have enabled over 3,000 graduates to pursue master's programs abroad, showcasing his dedication to community development.Mr. Abugri acknowledged the challenges of running as an inde pendent candidate but sees his independence as a strength, allowing him to build alliances based on merit and policy rather than party affiliation. He intends to engage with community leaders and use digital platforms to directly connect with voters and convey his vision for the constituency.
