Atwima Kwanwoma DCE Begins Tenure with Comprehensive Familiarisation Tour

Atwima Kwanwoma: Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, the newly appointed District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma, has officially assumed office with a familiarisation tour across key institutions within the district. The tour marked her first official assignment since her confirmation last week.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mrs. Asamoah visited several public institutions, including the Twedie Government Hospital, Twedie Police Station, Foase District Police Station, and the Bebu Ambulance Bay. At the Twedie Government Hospital, she expressed concern over the hospital's lack of a reliable water supply and modern digital systems, assuring staff of her commitment to addressing these issues. Emphasising the importance of healthcare infrastructure, she noted it was a critical goal for her administration.

During her interactions, Mrs. Asamoah highlighted the importance of understanding the challenges confronting public service delivery through first-hand engagement. She stated that true leadership starts with listening and observing, aiming to support vital services as part of the development agenda she promised to pursue.

Security agencies in the district discussed several operational challenges, which Mrs. Asamoah pledged to address. She praised their dedication to maintaining peace and order, commending their efforts during her confirmation. She acknowledged emergency and security personnel as unsung heroes, assuring them of the government's commitment to providing adequate resources.

At the District Assembly office, Mrs. Asamoah met with management and staff, outlining her vision for an inclusive, transparent, and accountable administration. She called for unity and collaboration in achieving shared development goals to build a better and safer Atwima Kwanwoma.

Mrs. Asamoah emphasised the need for proper revenue mobilisation and accountability to boost local development initiatives. She stressed discipline, punctuality, and dedication among staff, warning against lateness and absenteeism.

She also expressed her intention to collaborate with the Member of Parliament, Mr. Kofi Amankwah-Manu, to complete the official process of gazetting the district's municipal status. Madam Eunice Korankye, the District Coordinating Director, welcomed the DCE's approach and pledged the cooperation of staff towards the district's progress.
