Ashaiman: The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has observed its annual Constitution Week celebration at the Maranatha Presbyterian Church in Ashaiman Lebanon Zone Three. Madam Salvata Mawulom Koku, the Ashaiman Municipal Director of the NCCE, emphasized that the event was designed to educate citizens on the importance of collective responsibility in the nation's development.
According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Koku highlighted the theme of the celebration, 'Ghana's Future, Our Collective Responsibility', which calls on all citizens to contribute towards the development of the country. She stressed that it is the duty of citizens to be patriotic, embrace diverse opinions, ensure unity, and protect the environment and property.
She further stated that Ghanaians should prioritize the nation in their actions to enhance its global image. Madam Koku appealed to citizens, particularly those in Ashaiman, to foster unity and contribute to making Ghana a better place through acts of patriotism within their communities.
She concluded, "This is the message we are bringing to the citizenry while celebrating the constitution, and we urge the people of Ashaiman to do their bits as citizens to develop the country."
