Sege: Mr Stephen Oppong, the Returning Officer of the Electoral Commission for the Sege constituency, has announced that individuals who missed the special voting exercise will be unable to cast their votes on December 7. Mr Oppong clarified that those who applied for special voting will find their names absent from the general voters' register used in the upcoming general elections.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Oppong shared this information following an event where 254 out of 286 special voting applicants participated in the exercise held on December 2. The special voting took place at the Sege District Police Quarters, commencing at 0700 hours and concluding at 1700 hours. The event was monitored by party agents, security personnel, and external observers to ensure a fair process.In light of the upcoming elections, all three parliamentary candidates in the Sege constituency expressed confidence in their prospects. Mr Dodzie Numekevor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) attributed his expected success to the government's effective policies and his strategic campaigning. Meanwhile, Mr Daniel Keshi Bessey of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) emphasized Sege's history as an NDC stronghold and his positive intentions for constituents, asserting that even his opponents might support him. Independent candidate Madam Eunice Lasi highlighted her youth-focused policies and a campaign free from insults, which she believes will resonate with voters.
