Accra: The National Service Authority is set to launch the online registration for this year’s service personnel from October 8 to 15, 2025. All prospective personnel are required to register on the newly established official website, www.gnsa.gov.gh, as announced by Mrs. Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Director-General of the Authority, during a press briefing in Accra.
According to Ghana News Agency, the official commencement date for all national service personnel is slated for Monday, November 3, 2025. This development follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahana, which necessitated a technical and forensic audit of the previous Central Service Management Platform. The audit revealed that the previous system was unsatisfactory, prompting the Authority to design and deploy a new digital platform to ensure transparency, security, and real-time verification.
Mrs. Seddoh stated that all previous registrations from June 2025 have been nullified, requiring every prospective service person to re-register on the new platform. This decision was due to data integrity issues, including discrepancies in age within the collected data. She also announced that all legitimate registrants would receive a refund of their service fees.
The Authority has introduced stringent new IT reforms and internal controls to prevent payroll fraud and ensure timely allowance distribution. Mrs. Seddoh emphasized that the Authority has engaged directly with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to enhance financial controls, with periodic efficiency checks also planned.
The Authority is committed to creating diverse pathways for graduates, focusing on areas such as youth in agriculture, community improvement programs, and a new deployment module targeting public health, literacy, sanitation, and voter education in local communities. Additionally, private sector partnerships are being pursued to facilitate job opportunities and career pathways through skills training.
In collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces, the Authority will implement basic military training for the first 10,000 service personnel on a pilot basis. This initiative aims to promote discipline, civic responsibility, and physical development among the personnel. Mrs. Seddoh also cautioned prospective personnel against engaging with third parties or fake websites.
