Accra: As Ghana gears up for the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, a Non-Denominational Christian Youth Group, Youth in Prayer, has urged Ghanaians to unite in prayer for the nation's future. The group, which includes members from various churches, plans to hold an all-night vigil on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Action Chapel International in Accra.According to Ghana News Agency, the group released a statement emphasizing the vigil's purpose: to intercede and secure the destiny of the country through prayer and seek divine intervention at this pivotal time. The prayer session is scheduled to start at 9 PM on Friday and continue until the following morning, Saturday, November 16, 2024.The statement highlighted that the service would be led by prominent spiritual leaders, including Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Reverend Dr. Ebenezer Markwei, Bishop Gideon Titi Ofei, Reverend Robert Ampiah-Kwofi, Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah, and Bishop James Saah. The group stressed the imp ortance of this year's election, describing it as crucial for the nation, and called for fervent prayers to secure Ghana's future.One of the main attractions of the seven-hour vigil will be worship sessions led by Minister Joe Mettle, Lady Elsie Otoo, Rev. Ella Duncan-Williams, and Minister Kofi Karikari. To accommodate those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on the church's Facebook page, YouTube channel, and Archbishop Duncan-Williams's social media platforms. Additionally, buses will be available to transport participants from various parts of the country.
