Western Region: The Western Regional branch of the Ghana Red Cross Society has organized a peaceful election Health Walk to urge Ghanaians to maintain the current peace in the country. The event aimed to remind citizens of the importance of peace and unity as the nation prepares for the upcoming 2024 Presidential and parliamentary elections.According to Ghana News Agency, the walk drew participation from around 1,000 school children, youth, and various identifiable groups. Leading the initiative were Dr. Patrick Kobla Quist and Mr. John K. Ahiable, Patrons of the society, with support from Mr. Benjamin Acquah, the regional manager. The initiative is part of the preparedness plan by the Ghana Red Cross Society to ensure peaceful conduct during the elections.Mr. Benjamin Acquah, speaking about the event, highlighted that the Ghana Red Cross Society is the largest humanitarian organization in Ghana. The organization is committed to promoting peace and stability in the country, especially during critical peri ods like elections.
