Desmond Offei, Head Coach of the National Under-20 side, Black Satellites has settled on 35 players to begin camping ahead of this year's WAFU Zone B Championship. The players would report to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram, from Sunday, 11th August, 2024 to commence the first phase of preparations. Among the 35-man squad were players drawn from the just-ended Africa Games squad, WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship and the squad that toured Europe few weeks ago. Coach Desmond would use the camping period to assess his team before announcing his final squad for the WAFU Zone B Under-20 Championship. The gaffer would hope to add the sub-regional tournament to his trophy cabinet after winning gold at the Africa Games. The selected players were Saeed Yakubu, Daniel Afful, Emmanuel Vipo, Dickson Boateng, Asamoah Edwin Kuffour, Azafokpe Maxwell, Gyan Reuben, Amuzu David, Ali Umar, Yahaya Razack, Kelvin Nkrumah, Mahmoud Mohaison, Abugre Aduko, Edjeodji Bismark Junior, Kagawa Mensah, Foster Apetorgbor, Clinton Duodu and Prince Balladom. The rest were Afriyie Jerry, Izedeen Mohammed, Dennis Appiah, Mustapha Abu, Moses Arthur, Laboran Majeed, Antwi Dacosta, Peter Acquah, Isaac Frimpong, Denis Marfo, Hubert Gyau, Collins Boah, Abakah Austin, Richard Obeng, Hamza Musah, Isaac Baffoe and Sana Seidu.
