Kiev: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met Monday with U.S. special envoy Keith Kellogg on military cooperation, sanctions against Russia, and U.S. support for Ukraine's defense.
According to Ghana News Agency, the talks focused on strengthening Ukraine's air defense, joint production, and procurement of defensive weapons in cooperation with Europe, as well as sanctions against Russia and those who assist it. Zelensky expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for the signals of support and positive decisions benefiting both countries.
Trump announced on Sunday that the United States will send Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine to enhance the country's defenses. The EU will purchase the missiles and deliver them to Ukraine as part of this initiative. Kellogg's visit to Kiev marks an important step in solidifying U.S.-Ukraine defense relations.
