Surf Ghana and Element Skateboards Propel Skating Development in Ho

According to Ghana News Agency:n coaching to new riders and challenging more experienced skaters to learn new techniques and stunts. In addition, they provided training for the skaters and conducted a site survey at the Youth Park, which is being considered as a potential location for a new skatepark in the Volta Regional Capital.

Miss Harmonie Bataka, Project Lead for Surf Ghana, highlighted that skating not only serves as a sport but also acts as a platform for unity and creativity. She noted, "Seeing the passion in Ho's youth reaffirms our mission to expand access to skate culture across Ghana." She also commended the leadership of Wheels Ghana for their efforts in assembling a young team committed to making skating a global sport.

The President of Wheels Ghana, Mr. Xorse Senanu, expressed his excitement about the visit, stating, "This experience has inspired our riders and equipped us with equipment we couldn't afford otherwise." He emphasized that the 'Race to Skate' initiative is a game changer that would help unearth more talents.

The visit concluded with an evening knowledge-sharing session, where both teams brainstormed strategies to sustain growth in the local skate community. With renewed momentum from Surf Ghana's visit, skaters in Ho are poised to carve out a brighter future.
