According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, by 0813 hours, 58 people had already voted at Polling Centre 'A', while 84 had voted at Circuit Court 'B'. Dr. Joseph K. Wulifan, the Presiding Officer for Circuit 'A', confirmed that the process started smoothly at 0700 hours. He noted that nearly all voters underwent Biometric Verification, except for one individual who required manual verification due to issues with the Biometric Verification Device (BVD). Additionally, Dr. Wulifan mentioned that two prospective voters could not find their names in the special voters' register, possibly because they did not register for special voting.At Centre 'B', Mr. Adams Iddrisu Thirdman, the Presiding Officer, reported a similarly smooth start, with only one voter needing facial verification due to BVD issues. Both Presiding Officers expressed optimism that all voters would be able to cast their ballots before the closing time of 1700 hours.In the Wa Central Constituency's parliamentary elections, four candidates are in the running: Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hajia Humu Awudu from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Yakubu Zakaria from the People's National Convention (PNC), and Mr. Rashid Saeed, an independent candidate.In related news, GNA's Joseph Agrace Wiyorbie reported from the Lambussie constituency that voting also began smoothly. Electoral commission officials arrived at the centre at approximately 0600 hours, with voting starting precisely at 0700 hours. Party agents from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), and Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) were present. Mr. Hilleh Nicholas, the Presiding Officer, confirmed a smooth process and expressed hope for its successful completion. By 0745 hours, 30 voters had cast their ballots out of the 299 on the special voting list.In Funsi, within the Wa East Constituency, the voting process also started on schedule, with the first ballot cast at exactly 0712 hours.
