Sekondi: The South-West Business District of MTN has marked the end of Ramadan by donating a variety of items to the Muslim community in Sekondi. The donated items included a giant ram, packs of assorted drinks, water, and bags of rice, given as part of the Eid celebrations following the month of fasting.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. David Woasey, the Area Sales Manager for the District South, highlighted that this year's donation continues the annual tradition of supporting the Muslim community. He emphasized that the gesture reaffirms MTN Ghana's commitment to fostering a strong relationship with the community during Ramadan. Mr. Woasey also noted that many Muslims hold leadership roles within MTN, contributing significantly to community and national development.
The company's initiative aligns with its enduring tradition of supporting Ramadan celebrations, reflecting values of sacrifice and unity that are shared by MTN. Mr. Woasey mentioned that MTN is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people and strengthening the bond between the business and its surrounding communities.
Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Zulkifi Abdul Waheed, expressed gratitude to MTN for its continued support and prayed for the company's prosperity and success in the future.
