If recent experience has revealed some shortcomings in the decree of April 9, 2022 establishing the Fidaa Foundation, responsibility demands that they be rectified, President Kais Saied stressed on Friday during a meeting at Carthage Palace with the president of the Foundation, Ahmed Jaafar.He noted that legislation must achieve the purposes for which it is issued and must not become an obstacle to its implementation.According to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic, the noble mission entrusted to this institution is part of the duty of the entire national community to care for the victims of terrorist attacks, members of the internal security forces and customs, as well as the martyrs and wounded of the revolution.The President of the Republic stressed that Tunisia will never forget its heroes or their families and will continue to look after them.He considered that those who sacrificed themselves for freedom, honour and dignity and for the maintenance of security and stability deserv e to be immortalised in history and to be honoured, whether they are under the earth or above it.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
