Accra: Ghanaian reggae musician Rocky Dawuni has been nominated for the Best Global Music Performance at the upcoming 67th Grammy Awards. This marks Dawuni's fourth nomination, further cementing his status as a prominent figure in global reggae music.According to Ghana News Agency, the nomination was secured by Dawuni's single 'Rise.' Competing alongside him in the category are notable artists such as Angélique Kidjo, Arooj Aftab, Jacob Collier featuring Anoushka Shankar and Varijashree Venugopal, Masa Takumi featuring Ron Korb, Noshir Mody and Dale Edward Chung, and Sheila E. The awards ceremony is set to take place on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA, where Dawuni aims to clinch the award.Rocky Dawuni previously gained recognition in 2015 when his sixth studio album, 'Branches of the Same Tree,' was nominated in the Best Reggae Album category.
