Reverend Nana Yaw Dokyi, the Founder and Leader of the Millennium True Messiah International Prayer Camp at Adawukwa in the Agona East District of the Central Region has been elevated to the position of apostle.The new apostle was inducted into office by Bishop Dr Albert Ken Dapatem, an ordained minister, and executive member of the Dominion College of Bishops in Accra, and senior pastor of the Life Vision Church at Fise Abehenase-Amasaman.He was supported by Bishop Peter Koomson, ordained bishop of the Champion Ways Ministry International and serves as Executive Member and Programme Director of the Dominion College of Bishops.The Millennium True Messiah International Prayer Camp was established eight years ago and has over 200 members.Apostle Yaw Dokyi in an interview with the Ghana News Agency said his vision was to continue to preach the gospel to liberate the people afflicted with all manner of conditions, which was affecting their progress in lifeHe said church leaders should see themselves as me ssengers and to teach their congregations the true gospel to lead them to salvation.'Whatever work God has entrusted to us we will account for it,' he noted.He urged members of the Christian religion to be God-fearing and abide by the teachings of the Bible to free themselves from the bondage of the devil.Apostle Yaw Dokyi described small-scale illegal mining as 'evil', saying it brings curses to a nation, and it must be stopped.'Water is life, and it is God's creation to preserve the lives of humans. Even from research, doctors have noticed that about 70 per cent of fluid in human body is water.'All things within our environment, trees and mammals are creations of God and to use galamsey activities to destroy them would bring curse to us. Therefore, we need to put a stop to it,' he stated.Speaking on the forthcoming December 7, 2024, election, the Apostle Dokyi called on the citizens to let peace prevail, stating that politics is about opportunities and development and not a fight.'We are one p eople,' Apostle Dokyi said.Source: Ghana News Agency
