Queenmother Seeks Justice for Late Daughter and Grandchildren Allegedly Murdered in Tuba

Abotakyi akuapim: Nana Akosua Sakyibea I, Queenmother of Abotakyi Akuapim, is calling for justice for her daughter and two grandchildren, who were allegedly murdered in Tuba a year ago. Nana Sakyibea I is the mother of Alberta Hagan, who was murdered alongside her two children at Tuba Net-Link Estates, a suburb in Kasoa.

According to Ghana News Agency, Samuel Amoah, also known as Biggie, has been charged with three counts of murder and attempted murder in connection with the crime. He appeared before the Adabraka District Court, where his plea has not been taken. The court has remanded him into custody, with a reappearance scheduled for October 13, 2025.

Nana Sakyibea I, speaking to journalists at the court, refuted claims that her daughter was in an amorous relationship with Amoah. She emphasized that Amoah merely ran errands for her daughter, who was legally married. Through tears, she recounted the brutal manner in which Amoah allegedly murdered the victims.

Expressing her anguish, Nana Sakyibea I stated, "Why should Amoah kill my daughter and my grandchildren in this manner? I have suffered as a result of this incident. Only God knows what I am going through. I am glad Amoah has been nabbed from his hideout."

She revealed her efforts in aiding the police by providing Amoah's contact information, which led to his arrest. Nana Sakyibea I also praised the Ghana Police Service and the case investigator, Confidence, for their relentless work in capturing Amoah at his hideout in Suhum.

Amoah, who fled the scene after the alleged crime, was apprehended on September 17, 2025, based on police intelligence. During interrogation, Amoah reportedly confessed to the offence but claimed ignorance of his motivations.
