Prophet Kyeremeh Urges President Mahama to Intensify Efforts Against Illegal Mining

Sunyani: Prophet David Kyeremeh, the Founder and Leader of the Revelation Chapel International, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to demonstrate greater commitment in the fight against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey, fulfilling his promise made during the Election 2024 campaign.

According to Ghana News Agency, Prophet Kyeremeh stressed the need for the President to be proactive and show genuine dedication to combating the issue, in order to protect the environment and preserve water sources from further damage. Despite acknowledging the challenges, he emphasized that the government alone cannot handle this "tedious responsibility" and called for the support of communities and conscientious citizens to join the fight against galamsey.

Prophet Kyeremeh highlighted that addressing the illegal mining issue requires more than just verbal assurances; it demands strong political resolve. He urged President Mahama to take decisive actions to tackle the problem. Nevertheless, he recognized the government's current efforts toward building a better nation and praised the "Operation Recover All Loots" (ORAL) initiative.

President Mahama's ORAL initiative aims to gather information on corruption to be forwarded to relevant government institutions for further investigation. Prophet Kyeremeh applauded the objectives of ORAL and encouraged the initiative to remain steadfast in achieving its goals.

Furthermore, the Reverend Minister stressed the importance of peace and unity, stating that without them, national reconstruction would be challenging. He urged Ghanaians to set aside political differences and contribute to the holistic development of the country.

Prophet Kyeremeh also emphasized the church community's readiness to support President Mahama's vision for the nation, advocating for a stronger and more profound partnership between the government and the church in this endeavor.
