PNC Endorses NDC’s Women’s Transformation Policies as Best Option for Ghana.

Accra: Madam Mary Narrita Logah, Deputy National Women's Organizer of the People's National Convention (PNC), has praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its policies on women's transformation, labeling them as the best for the reality faced by women in Ghana. She emphasized the NDC's manifesto promise to establish a Women's Bank, which she believes will significantly enhance women's access to loans and their capacity to repay without obstacles.According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Logah urged members of the PNC to support former President Mahama in the upcoming December 7 elections. She highlighted the similarities between the NDC and PNC, stating that voting for the NDC aligns with the PNC's aspirations to transform women's businesses and promote economic empowerment. The selection of a female running mate by the NDC was cited as evidence of the party's commitment to women's empowerment and its intention to implement the Affirmative Action and Gender Equity law if elected.The Deputy National Women's Organizer called on the women's constituency within the PNC to support the NDC by voting for Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates in areas where the PNC is not fielding a candidate. She also appealed to women across political lines to support the four female parliamentary candidates running on the PNC's ticket.Ahead of the elections, the PNC has declared its support for the NDC, urging members to vote for the party to achieve the change they desire. PNC Chairman Mr. Samson Awingobit, during a press conference, stated the party's decision to back the NDC despite having no presidential candidate, expressing hope for a future collaboration between the PNC and NDC should the latter win the elections. The PNC's presidential candidate, Mr. Bernard Mornah, was disqualified by the Electoral Commission on technical grounds, although the party has fielded parliamentary candidates in 25 constituencies nationwide.
