Peasant Farmers Association Commits to Boost Agricultural Productivity in Ghana

Accra: The Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has pledged to support the government's agricultural transformative agenda in the quest to boost agricultural productivity in the country.

According to Ghana News Agency, the PFAG will continue to foster a healthy relationship with Mr. Peter Boamah-Otokunor, the Director of Agriculture and Agribusiness on Presidential Initiatives at the Presidency. Mr. Wepia Addo Awal Adugwal, the President of the PFAG, expressed this commitment during a meeting with the Director at his office in Accra.

The discussions focused on how the government could extend support to the PFAG to advance the transformational agenda of modernizing agriculture into agribusiness. The meeting also addressed strategic decisions and aimed to foster a mutually beneficial and impactful working relationship between the two parties.

Dr. Boamah-Otokunor, on his part, pledged the readiness of his office to support farmers and farming activities, with the aim of ensuring food security and sufficiency in the country.
