No Queues at Volta EC Office as Special Voting Progresses Smoothly.

According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, there are three voting centres for the special exercise in the Ho Constituency, where a total of 1,559 voters are expected to participate. Some of the security personnel arrived as early as 0500 hours to participate in the process, which officially starts at 0700 hours and ends at 1700 hours. The EC is operating three centres, and before noon, all queues had diminished, indicating early, speed voting.Voters who spoke to the GNA commended the smooth process, which took less than five minutes. Mr. Maxwell Awumah, the Regional Manager of the Ghana News Agency, reported a two-minute turn-around process, and commended the EC officials for their effort. Centre A has a total of 295 voters and by 1145 hours, while Centre B and C have 292 and 280 special voters, respectively. A total of 8,708 are voting in the special event in the Volta Region.Mr. Eric Dzakpasu, the Regional Director of the EC, said 22 centres were operational for the exercise, with the Ho Municipal, Hohoe, and Ketu South constituencies operating multiple centers due to the large voter numbers. He said polls opened at all centres at the scheduled 0700 hours, and commended the various stakeholders including political party observers for an incident-free event. "There have been no challenges so far. Collaboration is top-notch with security. It is going to be one of the very credible elections we will have in this country," he said.
