Ningo-Prampram NCCE Organizes Parliamentary Dialogue for Election Candidates.

Ningo-Prampram: The Ningo-Prampram Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) recently organized a parliamentary dialogue aimed at allowing candidates to interact with voters in the constituency. The event was attended by two independent candidates, Mr. Evans Tetteh Nii Nartey and Mr. Fredrick Forzie, who are contesting in the next December general elections.According to Ghana News Agency, the dialogue was themed 'Together We Can Build Ghana, So Let's Get Involved,' and was intended to introduce the candidates to the constituents, allowing them to present their policies and visions. Mr. Oppong Mensah, the Municipal Director of the NCCE, emphasized the importance of the dialogue in empowering voters to make informed decisions based on the candidates' policies.Mr. Mensah further advised against spreading misinformation, which could lead to fear and panic within communities. He highlighted the importance of maintaining the reputations of individuals and warned against illegal acti vities such as destroying political posters. He urged constituents to handle grievances through proper channels, such as contacting political party offices or local authorities.Nene Afutu III, Chief of Afienya, encouraged constituents to exercise their civic rights peacefully and to focus on policies that would foster the constituency's development. He also called on religious leaders to promote tolerance and avoid ethnocentric remarks.During the dialogue, Mr. Forzie emphasized the need for better leadership, highlighting a lack of development over the past 32 years. He urged voters not to sell their votes and to choose a candidate committed to the constituency's progress. Mr. Nartey echoed similar sentiments, proposing the establishment of a leadership and entrepreneurial academy to boost youth employment and vocational education.Both candidates appealed to the youth to resist political manipulation and violence during elections, stressing the importance of electing a candidate capable of fostering com munity development and job creation.
