NextGen Opportunities Forum 2025 Launched in Accra

Accra: TalentsinAfrica and the People Initiative Foundation have launched the NextGen Opportunities Forum 2025, scheduled to take place in Accra on August 15. This year's edition marks a decade of sparking ideas through TEDxLabone, TEDxAccra, and Africa Dialogues, signifying a significant step toward the future of Africa's youth.

According to Ghana News Agency, the forum will center on the theme 'Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future One Bold Step.' The event is a premier gathering for young leaders, entrepreneurs, policy influencers, investors, creatives, and educators working collaboratively to unlock transformative opportunities across the continent. The forum's timing coincides with International Youth Day, enhancing its purpose and global significance.

The event is expected to attract over 800 participants from Ghana and the diaspora, with more than 40 speakers and panelists, including entrepreneurs, CEOs, policymakers, and innovators. Seven panels will cover diverse topics such as AI and Jobs, Women in Leadership, Startup Capital, Creative Economy, Legal Migration, and Purpose-Driven Branding. The forum will also feature live performances, interactive exhibitions, and a curated youth opportunities expo.

The first panel will focus on Jobs and Skills, while another will explore whether African Startups can thrive without global venture capital. Discussions will also delve into AI and Automation, questioning whether they are creating or eliminating jobs, and Legal Migration, examining whose opportunity it truly is. Other topics include the role of media and creatives in narrating Africa's story, building brands that drive impact, and inspiring youth stories.

The NextGen team plans to unveil its roster of speakers and thought leaders through social media and official channels, emphasizing that the forum is more than just a gathering-it's a platform to address real challenges and opportunities facing young Africans. Mr. Emmanuel Leslie Addae, Curator of the Forum and Founder of TalentsinAfrica, stated that the event will tackle bold questions and put youth at the forefront of the solutions.

The Forum receives support from a network of corporate, government, and development partners, including British Council Ghana, Academic City University, OAPAY, Bel-Aqua, Axis Pension Trust, Decokraft, Ice Factory, National Youth Authority, and The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme.
