The Bodi District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Western North Region has organised an inter party dialogue forum for political parties in the ddistrict.The forum, meant to create a platform for the parties to foster unity and ensure peace in the upcoming elections.Addressing the meeting, Mr Emmanuel Awotwi, Bodi District Director of the NCCE, urged the various political parties to think about Ghana first and not do anything that would destabilize the country.He asked the leadership of the parties to preach peace to their followers before, during and after the 2024 election.'Democracy is not about fighting each other but telling the Ghanaian people what policy you have to help the people,' he added.The Bodi District Police Commander, Mr Michael Adjei Pause, assured the gathering that the district command was adequately prepared to provide maximum security to ensure peace in the upcoming elections.He cautioned the political parties to desist from activities that could breach the peace and stability in the district and country in general.Leaders of both NDC and NPP together with all the religious sects graced the occasion.Source: Ghana News Agency
