Accra: The National House of Chiefs has expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with the nation following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of top government officials and military officers on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Stephen Owusu, on behalf of the President of the House, the House described the incident as a 'profound national loss', extending heartfelt condolences to the Government of Ghana, the Ghana Armed Forces, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and all the bereaved families.

According to Ghana News Agency, the statement emphasized the immense sacrifices, loyalty, commitment, and unwavering dedication to public service that the victims exhibited. The House acknowledged the pain and grief experienced by the families, noting that while words cannot ease their suffering, it is the hope of the chiefs that they find comfort in the grace and mercy of Almighty God.

In a unified call to action, the National House of Chiefs urged the government, corporate bodies, the diplomatic community, traditional rulers, religious groups, and all well-meaning individuals to extend support to the bereaved families in any way deemed appropriate.
