Muslims Encouraged to Reaffirm Faith and Foster Peace During Eid-ul-Adha

Sekondi: Muslims gathered at the Sekondi Methodist School Park for Eid prayers were urged by Alihaji Abdul Wahid Zulkifill, the Chief Imam, to reaffirm their faith in Allah and live peacefully with everyone as they celebrated the Eid-ul-Adha festival.

According to Ghana News Agency, Alhaji Zulkifill emphasized that Islam is rooted in total commitment to Allah and humanity, highlighting the importance of leading a life that pleases Allah. He called upon the Muslim community to actively engage in giving alms, demonstrating love not only to fellow Muslims but also to individuals of other faiths.

The Chief Imam also encouraged participants to practice the tradition of sacrifice by using any animal of their choice, following the example of Abraham. He urged them to share the sacrifices among themselves as a gesture of service and love.

Mr. Suleman Gipo, a participant in the Eid prayers, expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to celebrate the day. He expressed hope for a fruitful new year and a renewed commitment to their faith.

Many attendees shared their excitement about the celebration and looked forward to spending quality time with family and friends. Eid-ul-Adha, known as the festival of sacrifice, is celebrated by Muslims worldwide to honor the holy sacrifice made by Abraham to God.
