MP Lauds Ghana Muslim Mission’s Contributions to Education, Humanitarian Aid.

Accra: Mr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, has commended the Ghana Muslim Mission for its impactful work in education and humanitarian assistance across the country. He highlighted the mission's significant investments in building schools and its ongoing efforts to support education in Ghana. Mr. Vanderpuije was speaking at the 64th Annual National Conference of the Ghana Muslim Mission, held in Accra, which also featured a fundraising ceremony.According to Ghana News Agency, the event, themed 'STEM and T-VET Education in Muslim Communities in Ghana for National Development,' emphasized the role of Technical, Vocational Education, and Training (TVET) in driving national development. Mr. Vanderpuije expressed optimism that the mission's commitment to TVET would yield positive results, similar to their previous educational initiatives. He assured that the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) government would prioritize TVET education to boost the country's human capital and meet the growing skill demands for national progress.The conference was attended by key figures within the Ghana Muslim Mission community, including regional executives, general members, and students from selected second-cycle institutions. Key events during the opening included speeches delivered on behalf of public officials and well-wishers, performances by the women's fellowship, and prayers seeking Allah's guidance for the upcoming December 7th elections. Imams and members prayed for peace before, during, and after the elections.Dr. Amin Bonsu, National Chairman of the Ghana Muslim Mission, called on the Muslim community to maintain peace throughout the election period. He stated that Allah had already determined the future president and encouraged acceptance of the election results, regardless of personal preferences. Dr. Bonsu also urged the community to support the planned establishment of STEM and TVET schools across all regions, assuring members that the schools would be built nationwide and hig hlighting the importance of the project.
