Accra: MindSports Ghana, in partnership with the Ghana Chess Association, is set to organize the third edition of the annual Scholastic Chess Tournament on Saturday, 9th November, 2024. The event, targeted at children aged 8 to 20, is expected to see over 100 participants compete for top prizes at the Accra International Conference Center.According to Ghana News Agency, winners of this year's edition will receive trophies, medals, certificates, and souvenirs. Participants will also have the opportunity to compete against some of the best chess players from within and outside the country, showcasing their strategic abilities.This year's tournament aligns with MindSports Ghana's vision of providing opportunities for chess enthusiasts to connect, learn, and grow into world champions. In addition to chess, the event will feature side attractions including games like scrabble, monopoly, draughts, and uno.The event is supported by Scholastic Chess, Ghana Chess Association, Eligate Restaurant, Ocean Spray, and Vitrac.
