Juaso: Former President John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged a significant initiative aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs in Ghana. During a campaign stop in Juaso, Asante-Akim South Constituency, Mahama introduced the 'Adwumawura' policy, designed to provide financial backing to 10,000 youth annually, enabling them to launch their own businesses. This initiative is part of a broader strategy by the NDC to address the pressing issue of youth unemployment in the country.According to Ghana News Agency, Mahama emphasized that the NDC has the most effective plan to combat rising unemployment rates among the youth. In his address to a large gathering of party supporters, he assured that the funding would be available to young people across the nation, including those in Asante-Akim South. He underscored the importance of empowering the youth to become entrepreneurs and contribute significantly to Ghana's economy.Mahama criticized the current government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accusing it of causing severe hardships for Ghanaians and questioning its right to seek re-election. He argued that a government unable to protect the livelihoods of its citizens after eight years in office should not remain in power.
