LOGPPAG Oti Region Chapter Inaugurates New Executives

Accra: The Local Government Procurement Professionals Association of Ghana (LOGPPAG), Oti Region Chapter, has sworn in new executives to lead the organization for the next four years. The inauguration ceremony emphasized the importance of upholding the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, integrity, and accountability in procurement processes.

According to Ghana News Agency, the newly sworn-in executives, led by Chairman, Mr. James Jiwah Konab, pledged to uphold ethical standards and best practices, working together to build an efficient, accountable, and empowering procurement ecosystem in the Oti Region. He stated that the inauguration ceremony marked a significant milestone in the association's efforts to promote good governance and efficient use of public funds in local government.

Mr. Franklin Asante, National Representative of LOGPPAG, highlighted the critical role of procurement professionals in ensuring efficient and effective use of public funds, stressing the need for high standards of integrity, ethics, and competence. He challenged procurement professionals to remain committed to the principles of professionalism, integrity, and excellence in their work and encouraged them to work together to promote the interest of their association and contribute to the development of the region and nation. He expressed gratitude to the Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) for their support and efforts in making the inauguration a reality.

Mr. Prince Latif Oyekunle, an Assistant Director, emphasized the importance of active participation and commitment within the association, encouraging members to recognize their roles and responsibilities and work together as a team. He stressed the need for members to contribute to the association's growth and success.

Rev. Harry Nii Kwartei Owoo, Chief Director of ORCC, urged procurement officers to be strategic and forward-thinking, adding value at every stage of the procurement process to ensure efficient and effective delivery of public services. The Chief Director emphasized that LOGPPAG was recognized for its significant contribution to promoting best practices, capacity building, and knowledge sharing among procurement professionals.
