Local Government Minister Commissions 188 Lockable Stores at Agormanya.

Agormanya: Mr. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development (MLGDRD), has commissioned an ultra-modern 188 lockable stores and ancillary facilities at Agormanya market in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality. The project, financed by the World Bank under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme, spans five years, having commenced in 2019 and scheduled to end this year.According to Ghana News Agency, the Minister, while addressing the gathering at Agormanya, highlighted that the newly constructed market stores would facilitate trading activities and provide a secure place for traders to store their produce after the day's activities. He emphasized the importance of maintaining and managing the structures well, noting that they were built to last for a lifetime.Mr. Korsah also referenced other completed projects in the municipality, underscoring the government's commitment to ensuring that its developmental goals are realized. He urged the community to support the government to ensure the continuation of such projects, stating, "Your needs are of concern to the government and to ensure that the mandate is renewed, the government will need your support in the days ahead."In addition, Mr. Simon Kweku Tetteh, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Chief Executive, assured traders that the allocation of the lockable stores would be conducted transparently and without party affiliation. Mr. Tetteh, who is also the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Lower Manya Krobo constituency, promised timely allocation of the stores to the traders.
